PELAGIC RECORDS signs MONO!
We are happy to announce that we will be releasing a new album by Japan's MONO in the fall of 2014 (CD, vinyl and digital). More news will follow soon, and in the meantime, we have made MONO's back catalogue available at our webstore… There's a whole bunch of CDs, DVDs and vinyls available, and 2 T-shirts can also be found in the T-shirts section.
CULT OF LUNA

On May 23rd (GAS) / 26th (rest of Europe), Pelagic Records will release CULT OF LUNA's audio book Eviga Riket on vinyl. Eternal Music is the music-only part of audio book / DVD Eviga Riket, which was originally released independently by the band in 2010. Eviga Riket continues the story of Holger Nilsson, who lived in the 1920s and who first lost his family and then his mind.
While the DVD that came with the book was oscillating between text readings and music, the vinyl release of Eternal Music is excluding the readings, and emphasizing the music - laden with sadness and melancholy, these rather quiet tunes are closer to soundtrack-music then to the band's usual sonic realms. While Eviga Riket was without doubt a fascinating experience, listening to the music in one go, without interrupting text readings, is a new and entirely different experience.
Eternal Music will be released as a 12" vinyl record, along with silk-screened cover art, printed in metallic golden ink on thick 500 gsm cardboard. The backside of the cover sheet shows a new illustration by Joris Vanpoucke that has not been used in the original audio book. 500 copies on special mix-coloured gold / black vinyl and 500 copies on black vinyl (180 gram)

The Ocean have been confirmed to appear at a number of European summer festivals, including Wacken, With Full Force, Summer Breeze, Brutal Assault and a number of others to be announced soon. The band has also launched part 2 of the 'Pelagial World Tour' video tour blog, which covers their recent European headliner tour as well as the lineup changes at the end of the year 2013.

THE SHAKING SENSATIONS
Danish post-rock outfit THE SHAKING SENSATIONS have gone through a rough year and lost a bass player, but are back strong now and ready to hit the road in April. They will also be touring the UK in the fall, and are preparing to start recording for a new album later this year. Tour dates below.
